I AM writing to warn readers about parking in Ocean Village Marina car park, by Tesco. The car parking service is run by LegionGroup.

My daughter received a parking charge notice for not displaying a ticket when the machine was out of order.

A few weeks earlier when this happened, she was told by a parking attendant it was OK to park and not to worry as she could not receive a parking fine.

LegionGroup have refused to accept photographic evidence that their only machine in the car park was out of order.

Their response to her appeal was to send her a photo of her car without a ticket!

Although LegionGroup did provide details of how to appeal to an independent body, instead she appealed to them again as she could not believe that they had actually read her appeal properly.

Now that 28 days have elapsed, she has been threatened with debt recovery and/or court action if she does not pay within 14 days.

As a newly qualified teacher, working very long hours and finding herself under a lot of stress, this is not helpful.

You only need to google OCS or LegionGroup to find similar stories.
