IT IS interesting how many readers like to mock my observations here within the letters pages, and through the online comments.

I have been informed that the Liberal Democrats now have over 85,000 members, and are the fastest growing political party at the moment. Why? Because the public are not happy with the idea of us leaving the EU.

I am also of the opinion that neither the Conservatives or Labour want to win the next general election (if held in 2020), after we may have left the European Union.

Both know full well the UK, outside of the EU, is not going to work well for us.

The problem with the Conservatives is that they don’t want to lose face and blame the public for the Referendum outcome. Labour, for reasons I don’t think anyone really knows, have just caved in.

UKIP, seen as the trouble-makers, are in meltdown.

I am aware that a large poster in Southampton supporting the campaign that we should keep up the fight to remain within the European Union was vandalised. This suggests that there are people out there who are scared by YOU, the public, having second thoughts, and indeed would like to have a second vote on whether we should go or stay.
