I DO wonder as to who wants to be the next government, assuming there is no general election until after we have left the European Union.

By 2020, the Conservatives will be hated so much that, in my opinion, they will lose a massive number of their constituency seats. Labour will fail to impress. UKIP will insist Nigel Farage is to be your next prime minster.

The Greens might do quite well, but achieve very little in the way of extra seats.

The Liberal Democrats might see a huge gain in seats, and Labour will approach them to create a Lib/Lab coalition. To which, I hope they will say, ‘no thanks’.

And this time I would not be in favour of propping up the Conservatives.

How could the Liberal Democrats be in government after having been in favour of keeping our membership of the EU? For us to then re-apply would be pointless as we will be at the back of the queue with our economy ruined, having, perhaps, a National Debt beyond £2 trillion.

Scotland are being told they cannot have a second referendum until after Brexit because Theresa May knows full well Scotland would vote for independence second time around. On what terms, is another, question.

Northern Ireland is likely to merge into the rest of the country and stay in the EU.

Wales will look for some form of independence from England.

England will break up into regions – such as North West, North East, South West, South East, and Central – then each will seek to apply to join the European Union.

Is this really what could happen?

While all this is going on the European Union will have expanded.

And where will we be? Stony broke and out of work with most major manufacturers and organisations having moved out of the UK to be within the EU.

We have a population approaching 65 million and only 17.4 million voted ‘leave’ from the 46.5 million eligible. Therefore, less than the halfway figure of 23.25 million.

This is not a mandate to take us out of the EU.

There is something very rotten within Parliament when MPs are not standing their ground. Blaming it all upon YOU, as YOU decided we have to leave the EU, based upon lies!

We need a second referendum at the same time as an early general election, ideally this autumn.
