I THINK having Jonathan Aitken - jailed for 18 months in 1999 for "calculated perjury'' during a libel case - appointed to the Centre for Social Justice's think-tank on prison reform is a good idea.
Aitken has actually been in prison in real life, he can have a positive input into stopping prisoners from re-offending when released; surely that is the aim of any prison service.
