I DRIVE to work in Southampton from Hythe via Main Road and join the A326 Marchwood bypass at the Dibden roundabout.

I was under the impression that on roundabouts you are supposed to give way to traffic on your right. This means that when I join the roundabout from Hythe I have to give way to traffic travelling from Totton/Southampton and that traffic travelling in the direction of Southampton from the Waterside area should give way to me when I am on the roundabout.

Four out of five mornings traffic coming from the Waterside direction pulls out in front of me and leaves no room for me or anyone behind to join the A326. This then causes problems for people trying to go round the roundabout to Marchwood or Hythe as I'm stuck trying to get in a queue that I should be able to join without trying to force my way in.

I would like to suggest that these drivers brush up on the Highway Code!
