C WESSON criticises Sandra Gidley for her 07/08 expenses (letters 20/5) but I have always thought that her very good response to constituents' letters must play a part in how much she spends on research into their problems, her clerical staff and postages. Many will say the same.
Representing 16 animal charities in and around Southampton I frequently have cause to solicit help and support from her, always given, incidentally!
Mrs Gidley always replies quickly to acknowledge my letters, and if she needs to look into the issue writes again with further information.
She’s an excellent constituency MP (hence increased expenses) as is Lib Dem Councillor Liz Mizon, now Southampton’s Mayor.
I am not a member of any party and vote tactically, on behalf of animal welfare.
