I WAS watching The Daily Politics on BBC2 one lunchtime, and the discussion was about the funding of political parties (yawn), when one of the pundits said: “Some local councillors club together and tithe ten per cent of their expenses and send the money to central office to help with administration costs.”
What?! Do any Southampton City or Hampshire County Councillors do this with other people’s money?!
