I FEEL obliged to draft this letter after reading in your letters column a piece from Peter Baille about the regeneration programme in Weston.
The heating in the Weston tower blocks has changed three times – a size change of radiators, where pipes are going and how many pipes are entering our properties.
We take a pride in our homes and until we are informed honestly and correctly I’m afraid many of us are holding out on having this done.
One meeting I attended there was a difference of opinion on the types of windows we are having put in on our balconies. So where does that leave us residents? Well, I have lost all confidence.
After having an indoor arial fitted for this digital switchover the cowboys blasted a hole through from my dining area into my lounge, ruining the wallpaper.
The council have been notified of this and I mentioned it at the last meeting the residents had with the contractors, giving them my details but received no reply.
Just because we are council tenants it does not mean we don’t care. We do.
A EVANS, Weston, Southampton.
