What price a bag?

WHILE taking my children on an outing to town, my five-year-old son came over unwell.

I walked into a local shop and kindly asked the gentleman if I could have a carrier bag and told him my reasons.

I got a reply: “That will be 5p”. I said my son was unwell and asked if he could just have one but he said no.

I think it’s digusting in this day and age that people have no thought for others and are only out to make a profit.

If I had bought something he would of given the bag to me for free.

I work in a shop myself and if that happened to me I would have no problem handing a bag over.

So why not do what many other mothers do when going out with kids - take a bag of necessary items such as small bags or nappy sacks for rubbish or anything else, wet wipes, tissues etc? Most basic essentials will fit into a handbag or pocket.

It's not rocket science .....

5p is not much if your child is ill.

What's the alternative? I hate walking down the road to sick on the pavement. It wouldn't of hurt the shop keeper to give one bag, it's not like she was asking for heaps!!! Meanie
