THERE are not many non-chain restaurants in Southampton. One of these is the popular Buttery in Pound Tree Road.
I was surprised to see it is closing soon and to be replaced by Paddy Power bookies. Just what we need – this will be the eighth bookie in central Southampton, the third in Pound Tree Road.
Tourists come to eat non-chain food in Britain, not burgers, pizzas, etc.
