Care home advice
10:34am Thursday 7th June 2012 in Readers' Letters
MY name is George Middleton, I work for the Southampton Citizens Advice Bureau and I deal with residential and nursing home funding options.
I saw a letter by Linda Aslett (Daily Echo, May 16) that prompted me to remind readers that care home advice is available from the Citizens Advice Bureau for the Southampton Community.
The service is for people considering a move into a care or nursing home. If you have a relative currently in hospital or living at home with a care package and you would like to discuss any of the financial aspects of funding long term care then we are available to advise.
It is beneficial to both people with property and savings and people who are funded by the local authority who are confused regarding any funding issues. The service is free, impartial and confidential.
Please contact me on 023 8022 3659 for further advice or to make an appointment. Home and hospital visits can be arranged.
