I SUPPOSE correspondent Tom Moseley has to report on matters of public interest but maybe he should have made inquiries at the Grove Clinic in Shirley, Southampton, as to diabetes sufferers and their views.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2004 and have had wonderful support, advice and care including regular blood monitoring and regular appointments including retinopathy screening.
I have also attended seminars on my diabetes care.
I have nothing but praise for nurses Olga Taylor and Fiona Burt as well as the doctors.
I feel the report from Professor Roy Taylor of Newcastle is too generalised and in my experience not true.
