LET’S hope the administrator does not suffer from the criteria attached to the bank bailouts, ie, the business is too big to fail. If we are in a capitalist society then nothing is too big to fail!

This could be the saving of the health service where the administrator could close the business and reopen it immediately under a different name and then renegotiate all the present contracts with suppliers, executive salaries and most importantly the companies responsible for the PFI debacle.

The PFI companies are all using various financial tax avoidance schemes to send their profits abroad and deprive the Government of income, which would normally be paid by companies trading with government departments.

Let’s live in hope for a new start to the National Health Service.
