I SHALL soon be appearing in Yeoman of the Guard at the Nuffield Theatre, which is very, very English and nothing at all to do with anything European, but the “Keep” in London.
Anyone seeing this show will soon see the difference in our language usage here. Fortunately there were no mobile phones in those days or baby buggies either, and my country was covered in trees and grasses.
The Southampton Operatic Society is a charity and times are hard. We need to sell all the tickets (seats) so that we can keep going, especially for our junior section and posterity of our English heritage.
RUTH A OLDEN, Hythe.
• Yeoman of the Guard runs at the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton from tomorrow until Saturday.
