DAVID Cameron stated recently he may grant theUK a referendum on Europe, when the time is right.
He also wants to stay in Europe. So the time may never be right. Three cheers for democracy!
Denied a referendum by Labour and Tory governments, the UK has been severely handicapped in taking a leading role in formulating the rules, laws and regulations of which we are now the victims.
Mass uncontrolled immigration, human rights bills etc. A muted voice has no say in what takes place.
The Tory policy – one foot in the door, to see how the land lies – has contributed to the crises now facing Europe.
Surely a lesson to be learned? Fence sitting is not an option. A wake up call is long overdue, like the referendum.
