I READ Julian Robinson’s article, July 5, headed ‘Bright future for hub’ and much of the content is nothing more than a press release from council leader Cllr Keith House .
The reasoning behind this move is a claim tha the Leigh Road office is no longer fit for purpose.
What nonsense! This is politics . Sounds great to say: We are moving into a smaller base. But it would be interesting to know the internal square footage of both buildings.
We have the claim from Cllr House that the move is “cost neutral”, however, the article states: “The fee for revamping has yet to be revealed.”
Is this a case of justifying the purchase of Eastleigh House and Wessex House, because they have never been fully let or a commercial success?
This is another case of muddying the waters to cover the enormous borrowings made in the taxpayers’ names.
