AT a time when at long last other political parties have been caught up with the Labour party on the seriousness of climate change.
We in Southampton are so fortunate to have Britain's greenest MP in Alan Whitehead, not only does he talk the talk, but he walks the walk. The Private Members Bill to tackle climate change which our very own Labour MP has been working on for the last year has been finally approved by Parliament making it so much easier to get planning permission to install microgeneration devices like mini-wind turbines and solar panels.
By practising what he preaches who needs a Green party in Southampton. Our Labour MP has taken up the 25/5 Challenge to reduce his very own personal carbon footprint' by 25 per cent over five years.
Yes Alan Whitehead MP is doing his bit to promote greener energy solutions, climate change is the biggest challenge of our generation.
