I TOTALLY agree with Councillor Brian Lewis about raising the fine to £45 for cycling on the pavement – but I would suggest £145.
You have got to deter the people, who persist in this dangerous, inconsiderate and irresponsible practice but the problem is, how are you going to enforce it? The police are not interested.
Perhaps the public could make a citizen’s arrest and name and shame them.
I can assure these people that I do not give way to cyclists who ride on the pavement.
If I am injured in any way through this thoughtless action, I will be claiming compensation from them and I will win.
Cyclists, who ride on the pavement, beware!
