DR Julian Lewis , MP for New Forest East, had published one of his letters in the Echo (August 4), as he wants to protect the present system of the House of Lords from Liberals!
That is not democracy, it is protectionism.
How on earth can there be lords who can make decisions on all of our lives, decisions made by those who inherited a title regardless of having any ability?
Then others who are rewarded for having made donations to a political party!
But of course Julian Lewis is an old fashioned Conservative, what else can you expect.
