This month, gang members, rapists, drug dealers and thugs have been locked up.
Here we round up some of the cases heard in Southampton:
Albanian crime gang jailed for kidnapping man
Eight men were locked up for a total of almost 40 years for kidnapping a man who broke into a Southampton cannabis factory.
Shocking video clips played at Southampton Crown Court showed them beating their victim in the back of a car.
His attackers were armed with a sword, metal bar and an imitation firearm.
Man raped woman in her own home
Ian Malcolm Cookson pinned his victim down before raping her, a court heard.
The 55-year-old even bit her leaving her bruised.
He was jailed earlier this month.
Woman bit victim in Southampton pizza takeaway
Lucy Clements left another woman needing ten stitches after attacking her in Romeo’s Pizza, a court heard.
The wound became infected following the violent assault in Bedford Place.
Clements was jailed for three years.
Teens hid in ice cream parlour from man armed with kitchen knife
Thomas Munnoch stormed into Scoops Gelato in Portswood Road carrying a knife.
One of his victims hid in a toilet and another behind the counter.
He was locked up for 12 months.
Men who filmed sex attack at hotel jailed for attempted rape
Rameen Farooqy and Pankaj Bangarh treated their victim no better than an object for their own sexual amusement, a court heard.
Following a trial at Southampton Crown Court, they were convicted of attempted rape and a single count of sexual assault.
Both were jailed for eight years.
Drug dealer with £3,200 of cocaine refused to stop for officers
Iyaaz Cawsey ran from police when he was spotted "in the shadows" in Eastleigh.
He tried to dispose of a manbag which was later found to contain 31g of cocaine and 4.7g of cannabis.
He was also carrying £500 in cash.
Burglar jailed for four years after DNA found on rock
Mark Stephen Brady, 29, of Laundry Road, Southampton, was sentenced at Southampton Crown crown court following a two-day trial.
After targeting a home in the Test Valley, police found traces of his DNA on a rock he used to smash his way into his victim's home.
Southampton man jailed for attacking and trying to rob motorcyclist
Connor Corbin, of Anson Drive, attacked his victim as he unlocked his motorcycle.
He struck and kicked him numerous times before making threats, suggesting he had a knife, and then fleeing the scene.
He was jailed for three years and six months
