THIS group have developed a reputation over the years for staging good quality community theatre – and this was no exception! Despite unfortunate technical sound difficulties, they once again delivered a thoroughly entertaining pantomime.
Although not faultless, highlights included the Baron’s horrified/bewildered reactions to his second family, the Baron and Baroness’s musical reminiscences, the garishly brash Ugly Sisters and the very cute young children, demonstrating their ‘Twinkletoes’ dance skills with beautiful smiles and enthusiasm.
Bethany Warne (Cinderella) was absolutely enchanting, while Millie Taylor (Prince Charming) and Holly Williams (reveling in ‘his’ rise to royalty as Dandini) were principal boys of the finest tradition.
However, the biggest cheer was for Ryan Bishop (Buttons), a very talented song-and-dance man with a natural aptitude for interactive comedy – a star for the future!
