SITTING PRETTY

MEMBERS of the Maskers Theatre Company are baring all in their latest play.

The company who previously brought us The Graduate are at the Nuffield next week with Sitting Pretty.

Two spinster sisters in their fifties share a flat. Nina is brisk, dynamic and gainfully employed; Nancy is selfconscious, frumpy and depressed.

Having just been made redundant she unwittingly stumbles into a job as a life model, totally unaware of what the job entails!

At first horrified to discover that life models pose naked, she eventually overcomes her shyness and finds she is unexpectedly liberated by the experience.

Keeping her new job a secret from her prim sister Nina, Nancy finds friends among the eccentric students in the art class and her curvaceous middleaged figure provides just the inspiration to free their philandering art teacher from his artist’s block.

As he re-discovers his inspiration, she re-discovers her self-worth.

The play, which runs from Tuesday to Saturday, contains subtle nudity.

SNOW WHITE

WATERSIDE Theatre Company is performing another world premiere pantomime – of Snow White!

After the success of Steven Allen’s debut last year, he has once again put pen to paper and delivered a script starring Snow White and Will the Woodcutter alongside the evil Queen with her magic mirror and seven dwarves.....with a difference!

Expect lots of laughter, music, dancing and singing.
