THIS village production threw everything bar the kitchen sink at its community audience and the packed hall lapped it up.

With a cast that was obviously made-up from relatives, friends and neighbours, every song, joke and dance was well-received.

Tamsin Fawn gave a very mature, assured, performance as Princess Beauty and her secondact solo was the highpoint of the show.

Kirsty Danks is another fine young talent and she also impressed, as Prince Handsome. The romantic aspect apart, humour came by the bucket-load, with John West leading the audience participation as Cuddles.

Darren Canning (Penelope Pinchme), aided by the trio of Sharon Sweet (the aptly-named Bounty), Janet West (Smartie) and Wanda Williams (Wispa) were good value in support.

The young dancers were well-drilled and a nice set with colourful costumes, good sound and simple, but effective, musical accompaniment all contributed to a lively show.

Director Wendy Cronan thanked them all.
