THE cast of Sasha Regan’s all male production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore gave an impromptu performance for shoppers on Winchester High Street.
The musical treat came as the production completes its run at the Theatre Royal Winchester tonight ( Saturday May 14).
The company take G&S below deck on a Second World War warship, where the sailors set out to find a distraction from the war.
This energetic show deals with the age old conundrum of love between social classes. It has infectious tunes and a beautifully constructed libretto, a perfect match for the cast’s inimitable style, inventiveness and fun.
There are performances at 2.30 pm and 7.30pm. Tickets available from theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or by phoning 01962 840 440.
