A variation on the Dracula story, this particular setting is a country house. Although sinister actions are threatened, no disaster strikes, thanks to the intervention of Professor Van Hyer (Alistair Banks).

All seems normal as Jonathan (David Guy) courts Mina Sewer (Susannah Bond) in an amusing fashion. Sister Lucy Sewer (Lily Vogt) is on hand when Rennet (Tom Hill) makes his strange appearance to announce the arrival next door of Count Nolyard (Harriet Olorenshaw). The cook, Bridget (Becky Hillier) bursts on the scene to add further confusion. The Sewer parents (Kimberley Sellman, Becky Dolan) are warned by the Professor, who conveniently has several wooden crosses in his briefcase. The Count asks Jonathan’s girl to marry him – but for what purpose?

Overall an enjoyable and convincing performance.
