Following the success of their first outdoor piece Tracking, integrated dance company StopGAP visit The Point during its 20th annual dance festival with their new outdoor performance SPUN Productions on Sunday.

Inspired by the popularity of interactive TV programmes, SPUN Productions is a vibrant piece of dance theatre set in the imaginary world of fictitious TV programme “So You’re Not Sure If This Is Dance”.

Focusing on the story of misguided hero Dave, the ten performers parody the corporate star-making machine and the erratic nature of entertainment TV.

u THE Theatre Royal Winchester welcomes back to the stage everyone’s favourite pig in Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt.

Tickets have been selling fast but there are still a few left for some performances, which run tomorrow and Sunday.

Young children will recognise all their favourite Peppa characters, brought alive on stage with clever puppets, lively songs and original music in a delightful story of lost treasure.

Peppa, George and Danny Dog are off on a trip in Grandad Dog’s boat to find some buried treasure. Helping them to follow the clues and find the loot are Pedro Pony, Polly Parrot and Zoe Zebra.

Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt follows the sell-out success of Peppa Pig’s Party and comes to Winchester direct from the West End in a brand new show featuring true-to-life puppets, perfect sing-along songs and a new story to charm all Peppa’s fans.

u Apples and Snakes presents its bi-monthly showcase of local and national spoken word in the Nuffield Studio on Monday.

Expect articulate artistry, expressive eloquence and verbal thrills ’n’ spills featuring A F Harrold with words for both children and adults, indoors and out, Mondays and Wednesdays.

He has an eccentric and astonishing way with words that has lead him to win poetry slams, appear regularly at literature festivals and on BBC radio and produce several volumes of poetry and prose.

Also on the bill are Sally Jenkinson, who enjoys earwigging on barstools and eavesdropping at bus stops, plus an open mic session.
