RAODS Youth bring the play version of Willy Russell's Blood Brothers to the stage at Romsey's Plaza Theatre next week.
Based loosely on the 1844 novella The Corsican Brothers, the Liverpudlian tragedy is a contemporary nature versus nurture plot.
The storey revolves around twin brothers Mickey and Edward, who are separated at birth as their mother cannot afford to keep them both.
Raised only streets apart in the heart of Liverpool, the boys’ lives take two very different paths. However, following a chance meeting, the pair form an unlikely friendship.
But what will happen if they ever find out the secret of their shared history? Their contrasting upbringing and the hand fate deals them is fast-moving, perceptive and ultimately tragic.
Blood Brothers runs from Wednesday to Saturday.
