PENNED by local lass, Jane Hilliard – The Boobytrap! sees MP, Gerald Caunfield (Alan Dester) at his country home for the weekend, reunited after the working week with wife, Debbie (Anne Maynard) and her close friend, Flora (Faustine Robert). Whilst he has high hopes for a quiet weekend, the arrival of his son’s cosmetically enhanced girlfriend, Chrissie (Kristy Lenore) leads to anything but…
The script offers physical comedy, traditional gags and misunderstandings and something farcical to get your teeth into. Dester gave an assured performance as the harassed MP, exasperated by the stream of visitors and the havoc they wreck on his county idyll, represented by the well thought out set (Dudley Eales) and props. The cohesive cast played to an appreciative audience, in this fun-filled performance.
