JSA (JOB SEEKERS ANONYMOUS) 2014

THE state of the nation is examined through song, stories, satire and silliness at The Point on Thursday.

JSA (Job Seekers Anonymous) 2014 is a humorous exploration of the (un)employment situation in the UK today.

Sh!t Theatre examine their own experiences being on the dole and the surrounding political situation.

Parts of the show are rewritten in response to local audiences and current affairs, so no two shows are quite the same.

GISELLE

THE romantic ballet Giselle is a classic, considered to be the Hamlet of ballets and equally popular today as when it was first performed over 160 years ago.

The world-renowned Moscow Ballet – La Classique bring this atmospheric production to Ferneham Hall in Fareham on Monday. With its haunting musical score Giselle is evocative, moving and powerful as it shifts scenes between the fantastic ethereal and rustic existential worlds.

HORIZON

IT’S the last day of the summer holidays and for one group of friends that means there is only one place to be: Horizon Shopping Centre.

As closing time approaches, a summer of resentment and frustration can no longer be contained and two sisters stand up and fight for what they believe in.

Each year the National Theatre invites ten writers to create new plays for young people to perform. This spring, 230 youth theatre companies will present the premieres of these plays in venues from Scotland to Cornwall and Northern Ireland to Norfolk. Each company will also perform at one of 26 Connections Festivals in professional theatres across the country, and ten companies will go on to perform at the National Theatre.

Horizon is the offering from Berry Youth Theatre and is on stage from tonight to Sunday.
