THE world’s bestknown valet, Jeeves, comes to The Mayflower theatre this year, to get his boss Bertie Wooster out of yet another scrape.

Bertie is a rather gormless member of the idle rich.

Jeeves, meanwhile, is his highly intelligent and talented valet.

See them together in Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, a new play direct from London’s West End, and winner of the prestigious Best New Comedy at the 2014 Olivier Awards.

John Gordon Sinclair, star of iconic 1980s film Gregory’s Girl, TV series Mad About You and whose other credits include a part in Brad Pitt film World War Z as well as West End credits for The Producers and The Ladykillers, stars as the dutiful valet Jeeves.

He will be keeping a watchful eye on the effervescent, aristocratic fool Bertie Wooster, played by James Lance, whose big screen credits include Bronson, Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst, and Bel Ami, with Robert Pattinson, also known for small screen roles in I’m Alan Partridge, Teachers and The Book Group.

This new play, adapted from the works of PG Wodehouse by the Goodale Brothers and directed by Sean Foley, is a hilarious production which layers joy on joy, joke on joke, in a delightful evening of theatrical absurdity featuring PG Wodehouse’s iconic double act.

When a country house weekend takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on not only to play matchmaker but also to steal a silver cow creamer from Totleigh Towers.

Naturally, the ever dependable Jeeves is there to prevent Bertie from making a fool of himself in front of a cast of Wodehouse’s finest characters.

Enjoy an evening of raucous comedy in the company of Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, Sir Watkin Bassett, Dahlia Travers, Roderick Spode and Constable Oates!

Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense runs at The Mayflower theatre from November 18 to 22. Click here for tickets>>
