“THIS was a wonderful production and worthy winner... It was gripping, fascinating and amusing – physical theatre at its best.”
This was written by the adjudicator following Oasis Academy Lordshill’s performance of ‘Twisted Tales’ at the quarter final of the All England Theatre Festival.
The students have, over the last couple of months, won no fewer than eight awards on their way to the semi-finals where they won the adjudicator’s shield.
Now there is a final chance to catch the play at Oasis Academy Lordshill on Tuesday July 7th at 8.00pm.
The play is a devised piece of physical theatre in which the ‘Twisted Tales’ come to life out of a large story book, with each tale having its own spooky twist.
Teacher and Director Johnny Carrington said: “This is an incredible achievement for a group of students who are still at school to progress this far in a prestigious national competition, where they were also competing against established adult companies.
"Everyone is really proud.”
