THE cast of Santa Claus – The Musical descended on New Theatre Royal on one of the hottest days of the years to launch the Portsmouth theatre’s Christmas show.
Dressed in full costume, the glittering line up celebrated the launch of the hit West End show.
Former member of Brit award-winning boyband A1, Mark Read will be playing the role of Joe the Chief Elf commented, “What a fun day - Christmas in July! I’m looking forward to coming back in December, when it's cooler.”
Joining Mark on the steps of New Theatre Royal was chart-topping singer and former Eurovision Song Contest star Nicki French in her role as Ice Queen and Jason Sutton, also known as Miss Jason, who is cast as Santa Claus’ PA, Miss Daphne Drift. Jason will be bringing his own brand of flamboyant fun to his role as the beloved dame.
The role of Jack Frost will be played by Paul Winterford.
The spectacular show will run from December 9 to 31.
