HAMPSHIRE'S own former professional singer, dancer and actress Susan Colclough will be performing at the London Palladium this weekend on Saturday in a star studded gala to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Dame Vera Lynn.

Susan, from Dibden Purlieu, was a member of the famous Dougie Squires Second Generation dance group, which will be reforming for one night only.

Also a former member of the harmony group Stutz Bear Cats, Susan will be singing with Rosemary Ford from the Generation Game and Danielle Carson, who stars in West End musical Singin' In The Rain'.

They will be part of an all star line up including Bradley Walsh, Russell Watson, Wayne Sleep, Simon Callow and many more. The show is helping to raise money for Dame Vera Lynn's Children's Charity.

Susan, who is the Principal of Strutz Stage Dance and Drama in Marchwood, last performed at the London Palladium with Stutz Bear Cats, in The Two Ronnies Show, which had previously completed a season at the Southampton Gaumont, now the Mayflower.

Susan said: "I am honoured to be a part of this very special lady's Birthday celebration, and for such a worthy cause. The show is being directed by Dougie Squires OBE MVO, and choreographed by Antony Johns, and to be working for Dougie again after so many years is wonderful."
