THE stage is set for Forest Forge Theatre’s show-stopping new season, filled with superb shows, talented performers and award-winning writers!

Throughout October, the Ringwood based theatre will be a jam-packed with a host of productions that are an eclectic mix of thought-provoking narratives to musical legends.

It gets under way on Saturday with Ride, a new play from award-winning writer John Foster. Ride is a modern-day narrative and a one-man show inspired by the racist murder of James Byrd that took place in Texas in 1998.The production takes a true story from the past and transports it to the current day. This powerful and thought-provoking play is even more poignant with Black History Month taking place this month. After the show the audience are invited to stay for a Q&A with John Foster.

Don’t miss the unforgettable story of ol’ blues eyes on October 15. His Way takes the audience on a chronological journey through Frank Sinatra’s life. Ranging from his early catalogue as a band singer to his swinging songs in the 50s and his rise to international icon. Be prepared to tap your feet and sing along as Robert Habermann lights up the stage with his romantic charm!

Defender of the Dead, written by Sian Williams, brings comedy drama to the theatre on October 28. The production follows a retired British army NCO take on the task to protect a sensitive archaeological site near Stonehenge - the object of a very English punch-up over politics, money, land, heritage, history and weird religious cults!
