A SUSPECT arrested in connection with the murder of a Hampshire dad in a Southampton alleyway has been released without charge this afternoon.
The 25-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday, following the death of dad-of-three Kevin Wyeth in Woolston.
Police confirmed that the woman continues to assist police as a witness in the investigation of the 31-year-old's killing and is receiving specialist support from officers.
A 31-year-old man still remains in police custody having also been arrested on suspicion of murder just hours after Mr Wyeth was pronounced dead in Defender Road.
Earlier today his grieving parents paid tribute to their “hard-working” and “loving” son.
In a statement, the mum and dad of Kevin spoke of their shock at his sudden death in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Mum Linda and dad Kevin said: “We are, as you'd expect, in shock at Kevin's death.
“Kevin was a good man, hard-working, very sociable and popular within the local community, he was a very loving and devoted father to his three sons.
“He will always be in our hearts and will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.”
