TRIBUTES have been paid to the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on a major Hampshire road.

Mark Copley, of Cherry Tree Walk, Basingstoke, died in Southampton General Hospital after the collision involving a car on the A27 on April 30, at 12.10pm.

The 51-year-old was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died in hospital on May 10.

Now Mark's family has paid tribute to him, saying: β€œHe was a loving husband and a great dad, who will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.”

Investigations into the collision, which closed the road between junction 12 of the M27 and the A27 Eastern Road junction for nearly six hours, are ongoing.

Earlier this month, a 32-year-old man from Havant was arrested in connection with this incident but was released under investigation.
