Come on ladies - let's make it 10,000 this year!Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the country and it's coming to Southampton again this summer. Women and girls of all ages and fitness abilities are invited to walk, jog or run the 5k course around Southampton Common on Sunday July 12. Last year, 9,700 women took part in the Southampton event, raising an impressive £564,500 to help in the fight against cancer. But we can do even better. |

If 10,000 women sign up for this year's event, Southampton could raise an incredible of £590,000 to help fund life-saving research. Many of the ladies who take part in Race for Life are cancer survivors or are running in memory or celebration of a loved one who has been touched by the disease.
