Gosport Tory candidate Caroline Dinenage has secured a constituency home - in married military quarters.

Mrs Dinenage, daughter of TV newsreader Fred, will share a Ministry of Defence home in Gomer with Navy officer husband Carlos.

The couple’s house in Hambledon – in the new Meon Valley consistency - is now on the market.

They plan to move to Gosport as her husband is due start work at HMS Collingwood.

Mrs Dinenage said she was delighted with the move.

She said: "It will give me a first hand opportunity of seeing the problems caused by the shortage and too often poor quality of service accommodation.

"By being part of the local forces’ community, it will help me to deliver the Conservative pledge to restore the military covenant."
